Onyankopon (meaning great; Akan: Onyankopɔn) is a god of the Asante people in Ghana, West Africa, and a god of the sky. Nyame is a god that is also handed down to Asante people. It is often referred to as (Nyame), but there are many vague parts in the position of Nyame as a god.
